STAR TO STONE is more than a Tour of New Zealand
~ it's a spiritual homecoming!
Jennifer and Peter are now taking expressions of interest in a proposed ten day New Zealand tour for April/May 2026 with a trusted friend and tour guide, Jean-Michel from Ahipara Travel.
There is an interesting connection with Egypt. We have heard from several different sources that Maori consider themselves descended from Egyptians. We will explore this!
Our proposed itinerary....
Taupo, as the heart chakra of New Zealand, will be a key part of our journey. With visits to a sacred totara tree connected to the wind temple, to the fire temple, and to Rotopounamu, the Lake of Pounamu, the water temple. This is acknowledged as the water temple of the world, not just New Zealand. We will be visiting sacred sites at Castle Hill including some not open to the
public.
We will be visiting a descendant of the first waka (canoe) of the Waitaha, a respected greenstone (pounamu) carver & stopping at the beach where lore says the Egyptians landed.
April/May 2026
The Waitaha, acknowledged by many to be the first tribe to arrive in New Zealand, came here following the stars, as renowned celestial navigators. They came in search of the “God Stone”, the jade, known as pounamu.

The Waitaha specifically came to the “Birthplace of the Gods”, a place called by
the Dalai Lama “a spiritual centre of the universe”, Castle Hill (Kura Tawhiti
in Maori).
